THE SALVATION ARMY ALLOCATES $100,000 FOR RURAL YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2000

The Salvation Army through its Jeff Farm and Edmund Sanderson Jeff Scholarship scheme has approved 24 scholarships valued at $100,000 to young people from around New Zealand to study at Lincoln, Telford and Canterbury next year.

The scholarships include studies relating to General Agriculture, Dairy Practice, Farm Management, Forestry, Agriculture Science and Agricultural Commerce.

The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage young people who otherwise would not have the opportunity to fulfil their desired goals.

The Salvation Army awards these scholarships as a significant investment in young people of New Zealand and the rural industry.
