The State Services Commissioner, Michael Wintringham, announced today the appointment of Ms Bethia Gibson to the position of Branch Manager, Corporate Services Branch, at the State Services Commission.

Ms Gibson will head the team delivering finance, business planning, facilities management, human resources, communications and knowledge management services across the Commission.

Mr Wintringham said that the appointment of Ms Gibson concludes the recent appointments of senior staff within the State Services Commission.

"Ms Gibson will have a major role in maintaining the momentum of change within the Commission," Mr Wintringham said.

Ms Gibson is currently the General Manager of QV Valuations, a division of Quotable Value New Zealand. She has been with Quotable Value New Zealand (and previously Valuation New Zealand) since 1988, working first as a valuer and then progressing through a range of managerial roles before becoming a general manager in 1998.

Ms Gibson was also a member of the project team scoping the creation of a viable Crowned-owned company from Valuation New Zealand in 1997 and was involved in the establishment of Quotable Value New Zealand.
