Medical Colleges call for 'patient safety' meeting 

The Council of Medical Colleges of New Zealand have called on the Health & Disibility Commissioner to host a meeting of CMC, the Medical Council and District Health Boards to address the patient safety issues facing many New Zealanders today.

CMC chair Associate Professor Phil Bagshaw said today’s meeting of the Medical Colleges discussed the recommendations from the H & D C report on Whanganui DHB.

“The CMC has grave concerns over the patient safety issues that arose and believe other areas of New Zealand face similar problems,” Professor Bagshaw said.
