Elderly man flown to hospital

Today around lunchtime the Tauranga based TrustPower TECT Rescue helicopter called a remote farm inland of Te Kaha where a 80 year old farmer had become unwell with chest pain.

He was stabilised at the scene by St John ambulance staff before being flown to Whakatane for further treatment.
