HOW SHARP? Geologist Examines Explosion Crater

How sharp is this guy?

The picture above shows a geologist examining an eruption crater in a suburban park in Rotorua on January 26th. Earlier in the day the steaming hole he is approaching spewed rocks half a metre in diameter over 100 yards across the park.
