The big news for industry
this week has been the Governments announcement of grants
for foreign film makers wishing to use our plush
surroundings and expert crews. Minister for economic
development Jim Anderton joins us to look at the intentions
and reasoning behind the decision. We will also take a look
at how the grants will affect NZ film makers.
Hong Kong residents took to the street yesterday in porotest
at a new law being imposed from China. Critics of the
anti-subversion law say it will adversely affect control
over free speech and the media. Anne -Marie Brady from
Canterbury university joins us to discuss the implications
of the law.
