Israeli Ship of State Speeds toward
Self-Destruction
By Genevieve Cora

Out to sea in a ship
called Security The Israeli Ship of State
plows Towards the rocks Dead-reckoning Apprehends
danger Spurs on to fight Oblivious to their
plight Guns ablaze they assault The harbor rather than
dock In safety too proud to calculate The risks they
flaunt The rules of navigation On their own
course To destruction too proud To observe their
predicament Ignoring all warnings All attempts at
rescue Israel counters intelligence Plots
a course Destined to bring others Down a
suicidal Endeavor too far Right of center Sails
furled they speed Into uncharted waters Warring
authorities Bicker and bleed Captained by
insanity Treason to reason They seek to kill Rather
than be killed A pirate enterprise Seizing booty
unbounded Arrogant, intense Meaning each
offense Treachery hidden by guile They lie and
smile Destiny’s child Believe all desired Is
within grasp The lead ship
Israel Underwritten By Western alliance Under
an Eastern sky Parallel universes
dance Collide Stream forward Twirling dervish
Spin a web Israel’s shining hour Has
come and sped Time collapses Moments wane Driven
insane Beyond hope or reason For everything
There is a season Turn, turn, turn From evil
ways Or number thy days You A stranger in a strange
land Fail to comprehend Payback Is a bitch
