Greens And Nats Engage In Robust Disussion On ETS

Green Co-Leader Russel Norman and National's David Carter - Federated Farmer's 2008 manifesto launch proved fertile ground for disussing the ETS

*****

This morning Federated Farmers launched their 2008 manifesto in front of assembled media politicians and high quality fake sheep. At the launch Green Party co-leader Russel Norman and National's Agricuture spokesperson David Carter had a robust discussion about what exactly National plans to do with the Emission Tradings Scheme should they become government.

Current Agriculture Minister Jim Anderton also proudly brought down a statement from Famrmers showing that he had been a popular Agriculture Minister. Though Scoop considered the farmers seemed keener for a Government of a slighter bluer tinge (though not an Aqua one though - no Green mixed in!)

Mr Anderton did seem relaxed when asked by Scoop if he was looking forward to working with the Greens – should the numbers on election day go Labour/Greens/Progressives way.
