Scoop photographer Karim Sahai was on the sideline for tonight's historic clash between New Zealand and Bahrain at Wellington's caketin.
NZ won 1-0 with a first half goal scored by Rory Fallon in the 45th minute. There were no goals scored in the second half.
The game decided which team would qualify for the World Cup. New Zealand has qualified once before - in 1982 - Bahrain has never qualified. In the first match of the 2 match series there was a draw.
