The first round of direct
talks between Israelis and Palestinians is now over at the
White House and State Department. The parties plan to meet
again in the Mid East in Mid September. The US wants
agreement this year, but the nations have a long way to go.
The goal is a Palestinian State, next to Israel. But issues
such as borders, Jerusalem, security, settlements, and many
others need to be resolved.
