Manning & Esther - Are NZDF Reports of Killings Surprising?

Selwyn Manning and 95bFM's Esther discuss whether the New Zealand public ought to be surprised that our combat soldiers hunted down insurgents in Afghanistan and killed nine of them. What would be concerning is if the act was motivated by retribution for the killing of Kiwi soldier Tim O'Donnell by a IED while on patrol. If so, then the situation elevates to one of morality and legalities under International Humanitarian Law and the law of wars.
