Congratulations to Mayor Wade-Brown

The Green Party offered congratulations to Wellington’s new mayor-elect, Celia Wade-Brown today.

“It’s really exciting that Celia will be the next Mayor of Wellington, she is going to do an excellent job,” Green Party Co-leader Dr Russel Norman said.

“This is another milestone for the green movement in New Zealand.

“Wellingtonians want to look after our environment and all the people who live in the capital and they’re hungry for smart solutions like better buses and light rail to reduce congestion.”

Dr Norman said that Mayor Wade-Brown would bring the Wellington City Council together: “Celia has the experience and the skills to engage with all community groups.

“It’s a good day to be a Wellingtonian,” Dr Norman said.
