Property (Relationships) Bill Highlights Government's Feminist Bias

"With the advent of the Property (Relationships) Amendment Act's recognition of same-sex couples, how long will it be before same-sex couples are recognised under the Social Security Act 1964?", asks Lindsay Mitchell, petitioner for a Parliamentary Review of the DPB.

"The Social Security Act 1964 does not recognise same-sex couples. This means same-sex couples can claim benefits that heterosexual couples cannot. In particular, lesbian mothers can have a relationship in the nature of marriage and still claim the DPB. The mother can claim the DPB whilst living with a female partner earning a full-time income. If a heterosexual mother claimed the DPB whilst living with a male partner earning a full-time income she would be committing benefit fraud. She could be fined or imprisoned for such a misdemeanour."

"To find such a blatant example of inequality during the politically correct Margaret Wilson's tenure is surprising, to say the least. The only reason it exists is feminist bias. "

Mrs Mitchell finishes, "This inconsistency is just one of many reasons why a review of the DPB is absolutely necessary."
