New Zealand officials contacted Dubai police to ask about a Dubai newspaper report that charges have been laid against two police officers regarding the death of Aaron Mahoney.

Dubai police have advised us the newspaper report is not correct. Charges have not been laid.

Questions regarding any inquiry into Mr Mahoney's death should be directed to Dubai police.
