Grey Power applauds Council reforms.

The announcement today of major changes to the Local Government Act by the Minister of Local Government Rodney Hide will go some way to improving the transparency of councils business with 'plain English' financial reporting and directions to focus on core business.

While these reforms do not 'cap rates' they should be a clear signal for change.
