New offensive behavior law needed.

It is time the likes of Steve Crow and his topless mob are stopped from trampling on the values of ordinary New Zealanders in the latest of their parades across the country, said Kiwi Party community standards spokesperson, Robyn Jackson.

“Our country has hit an all-time low when porn stars, sex toys and naked bikers can parade down city streets on the eve of the weekend we remember those who valiantly fought and died for our nation. The ‘Steve Crow type anything goes sexual freedom’ is not what they sacrificed and often gave their lives for!

“In my opinion, Judge Nicola Mathers and Justice Denis Clifford have also failed the country in recent decisions that undermine traditional standards of modesty.  New Zealanders just want to live decent lives, and not have their children exposed to nudity on either motorbikes or push bikes”, said Mrs Jackson.

Kiwi Party leader Larry Baldock said they see no reason why the Summary Offences Act and Crimes Act should not be amended to clearly define what is offensive public behaviour rather than leaving it to subjective judicial interpretation. Why not have the law simply state that the 'private parts' that have been traditionally covered (boobs, bums and fronts!!) should not be publicly displayed?
