National tightens after $5k bet

The National Government has shortened into an even hotter $1.10 favourite on Centrebet after a smart political punter bet $5000.00 on John Key's ruling party at $1.11 retaining office on November 26!

The bookmaker's Neil Evans said Labour had drifted to a whopping $6.50 and yet "still no buyers!"

"This $5k wager to win just $550.00 is the biggest bet so far, but means 95% of the first $8,000.00 bet has all been for National," Evans said.
