Racism has no place in sport - Race Relations Commissioner

Racism is a coward’s game that has no place on our sports fields says Race Relations Commissioner Dame Susan Devoy.

“Whether it’s the Super Rugby final or a schoolboy 1st XV game: racism is a coward’s game that has no place in New Zealand sport,” says Race Relations Commissioner Dame Susan Devoy.

“Good on Crusader Nemani Nadolo for calling out racist abuse he’s faced: the rest of us need to back our sportsmen, women and kids by condemning racism when and where we see it.”

“Playing international sport is tough enough without having to contend with racist abuse as well,” said Dame Susan.
