Student Conference Attracts Political Heavyweights

This weekend at Victoria University, Australia and New Zealand Students for Liberty will be hosting their first New Zealand conference, “LibertyFest NZ”. Australia and New Zealand Students for Liberty is a nonpartisan student organisation that advocates personal, economic and academic freedoms.

Conference speakers include:

• Senator David Leyonhjelm from New South Wales.
• Don Brash, former Reserve Bank governor, National and ACT Party Leader.
• Richard McGrath, former Libertarianz leader, on Christmas Island and Immigration.
• Jamie Whyte, former ACT party leader on the topic “Transsexuals and Capital Allocation”.
• Tim Goggin, crypto-currency innovator on “The Blockchain Future”.
• Ana Gilling, VUW Political Science lecturer on the appeal of libertarianism in New Zealand.

The conference also hosts a panel on productivity with:

• Jason Krupp and Jenesa Jeram from The New Zealand Initiative,
• Ben Craven from the New Zealand Taxpayer’s Union.
