Even as the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon tightly survived 3 non-confidence votes in the Knesset, his minority based cabinet is still to face more challenges as Labor pulled away the promised Knesset safety net. The rabbi of the Old City of Jerusalem said "It should be known that anyone who wants to give away Israeli land is like a rodef"; a din rodef is seen as a license to kill a fellow Jew.

French President Jack Chirack, at the Nato meeting in Turkey, criticized the ones who call for marginalizing the Palestinian president, saying "no one can ignore a legitimate leader unless a legitimate alternative leadership is established"

As a result of massive wide spread anti-separation wall demonstrations, Israeli high court ordered army to re-route the wall section north of Jerusalem.
