Gaza Power Station To Work At Full Capacity Next Month

The Energy and Natural Resources authority has announced that the Gaza power station will be able to work at full capacity in May thanks to the generous contribution of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the UNDP.
The authority said in a statement on Tuesday that the IDB has financed the purchase of four turbines for the power station and the UNDP is carrying out the implementation.

It explained that at the conclusion of installing those turbines next month the power station will be able to produce 120 Megawatt of electricity, and return to full capacity for the first time since the Israeli occupation forces shelled the station in 2006.

The Authority expressed its gratitude for such a generous donation that contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people, and boosting their steadfastness.
