The Coalition of Ministers Supporting Israel representing many in the Christian community of New Zealand condemns the antisemitic attack at Bondi Beach overnight.

We are appalled at the callous attack upon the Jewish community of Australia who were celebrating the first day of Hanukkah, which should have been a celebration of light and not a manifestation of darkness.

We stand with the Jewish communities of Australia and New Zealand who have been plunged into mourning and pain. Our prayers and heartfelt sympathies go out to them. We call on the authorities in both nations to do all they can to stamp out the evil of antisemitism.
