Northland: Fine apart from a few showers about the east coast today.

From Auckland to Wellington, including Bay of Plenty and the central Plateau: Fine today and tomorrow. Becoming frosty again tonight.

In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Remaining cloud and showers clearing from Gisborne this afternoon otherwise fine and becoming frosty tonight. Fine again tomorrow.

The South Island: Fine in most places today. A few showers persisting about Foveaux Strait and southern Fiordland. Tomorrow, showers and southwesterlies developing in Southland and Otago otherwise fine and frosty.

Chatham Island: Cloud and fine breaks today. A few showers developing tomorrow afternoon.
