Short Forecast issued by Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow:

In the north and west from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central high country: Showers and fine periods for the remainder of today.

Bay of Plenty: Fine weather.

Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Fine for the remainder of today, showers spreading from the south overnight. Further showers tomorrow.

Wairarapa, Wellington and Marlborough: Becoming colder later this evening with showers. Tomorrow, showers about the Wairarapa and Kaikoura coasts, otherwise mainly fine.

Nelson: Mainly fine weather.

South Island west coast: Showery.

Canterbury: Becoming colder this evening with coastal wintry showers. Some snow to 400 metres. Tomorrow, becoming mainly fine but cloud and a few showers remain about the coast from Banks Peninsula northward.

Otago and Southland: Wintry showers with hail. Snow to 200 metres about Southland and 300 metres in Otago. Tomorrow, becoming mainly fine inland but remaining showery about the coast.

Chatham Islands: Showers for the remainder of today. Showery again tomorrow.
