Short Forecast issued by Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow:

In the north and west from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central high country: Showers and fine periods.

Bay of Plenty: Mainly fine weather.

Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Showers developing overnight and becoming cold. Further coastal showers tomorrow.

Wairarapa, Wellington and Marlborough: Cold and showery overnight with some hail. Tomorrow, showers about the Wairarapa and Kaikoura coasts, otherwise fine.

Nelson: Remaining showers clearing overnight and becoming fine.

South Island west coast: Mainly fine overnight, isolated showers tomorrow.

Canterbury: Coastal wintry showers overnight with snow to 400 metres. Tomorrow, mainly fine but cloud and a few showers remain about the coast from Banks Peninsula northward.

Otago and Southland: Wintry showers overnight. Snow to 200 metres about Southland and 300 metres in Otago. Tomorrow, becoming mainly fine inland but remaining showery about the coast.

Chatham Islands: Cold and showery.
