From Northland to Taranaki, also for the central plateau: Mostly fine weather but cloud and a few light showers possible about the west coast today.

Wanganui and Manawatu: A few cloudy areas today. Fine tomorrow.

For Bay of Plenty and in the east from Gisborne to Canterbury also for Wellington and Nelson: Mainly fine but cloud and a few brief coastal showers spread up Canterbury and Marlborough today reaching the east coast of the North Island this evening. Fine everywhere tomorrow.

South Island west coast: A few showers today. Longer fine spells developing about Westland. Fine everywhere tomorrow.

Otago and Southland: Cloudy periods. A few showers about the coast. Southwesterlies slowly easing. Fine tomorrow apart from some cloud about the South coast and Stewart Island.

Chatham Islands: Cold and showery with gale southwest winds.
