South Island west coast: Cloud increasing with patchy rain developing about Fiordland later.

Canterbury: Mainly fine inland. About the coast, fog patches clearing this morning.

Otago and Southland: Fine inland but cloudy about the coast. High cloud increasing from afternoon but remaining dry.

Chatham Islands: Cloudy with the odd light shower.
