Internationally respected curator René Block will give a lecture and video presentation - Fluxus Music - The Everyday Event - at the City Cinema, City Gallery Wellington on Friday 1 December, at 6pm.

Mr Block is perhaps best known in New Zealand as the curator of Toi Toi Toi - Three Generations of New Zealand Artists, which was shown at the Museum Fridericianum, Kassel (of which he is Director) before being toured to the Auckland Art Gallery in May 1999. 'Fluxus' was an experimental art phenomenon with origins in Germany. Key figures involved included John Cage, Joseph Beuys and Nam June Paik.
