Tales Of Crime In Auckland City Library

19 January 2001

Acclaimed American Crime Writer John Straley will be visiting Auckland City Libraries on Saturday to read from his new mystery novel ‘Cold Water Burning’.

‘Cold Water Burning’ is the sixth of Straley’s novels to feature the eccentric investigator P.I. Cecil Younger, and once again the story is played out against the stark natural beauty of Alaska.

John Straley contacted the libraries through its award winning website, offering to read from his latest work when visiting New Zealand on holiday. His first book, ‘The Woman Who Married A Bear’ won the Shamus Award for best first novel.

John Straley will read from his latest book and answer questions from the audience at the Auckland Central City Library, Saturday January 20 at 2pm.
