HRH Princess Anne will lay a wreath at the Robert Falcon Scott statue on Worcester Boulevard to mark the centenary of Scott’s visit to the South Pole.

The Princess, accompanied by Christchurch Mayor Garry Moore and the Mayoress, will lay the wreath on Monday 11 February at 11.05am. Afterwards, her car will travel along Worcester Boulevard to the Canterbury Museum where she will be guest of honour at a reception hosted by Mr Moore and Christchurch City Councillors.

HRH Princess Anne is on a private visit to New Zealand as a guest of the Antarctic Heritage Trust. She will stop over in Christchurch on her return from Antarctica, where she is expected to launch a multi-million dollar restoration and conservation fundraising campaign for the Antarctic Heritage Trust.
