Still no go for aerial operation against moth

For the fifth day in a row, the aerial operation against the painted apple moth has been postponed due to bad weather forecast for the Auckland area tomorrow (Friday 18 October ). A decision will be made tomorrow afternoon regarding operations for Saturday.

The extended zone covers around 8,000 hectares and affects nearly 40,000 properties in the following suburbs; Te Atatu South, Massey West, Ranui, Henderson North, Western Heights, Palm Heights, McLaren Park, Oratia, Glen Eden West, Glen Eden, Sunnyvale, Henderson, Henderson North, Lincoln, Glendene, Kelston, Harbour View, Avondale, Waterview; parts of New Lynn, Mt Albert and Point Chevalier. Traherne Island and the north western motorway are also included.
