Three candidates to face off for Mt Roskill seat

Three candidates are set to contest the Mt Roskill community board’s February by-election.

The by-election follows the resignation late last year of the former board chairman, Stephen Rosser.

“Nominations from Paul Forlong (Auckland Citizens and Ratepayers Now), Kevin McKay (Independent) and Corinne McLaren, (City Vision) were received before today’s 12 noon deadline,” says Dale Ofsoske, Auckland City Council’s Electoral Officer.

The by-election will be held by postal ballot with voting documents mailed to electors from Friday 7 February 2003. Results will be known following the close of voting at 12 noon, Saturday 1 March 2003.

There are approximately 32,500 eligible electors in the Mt Roskill community board area.

The Mt Roskill community board has five members and is one of ten community boards in the city.
