Changed Access To Khyber Pass On-Ramp

Changed Access To Khyber Pass On-Ramp

Transit New Zealand advises that access to the southbound Khyber Pass on-ramp will be changed as of Thursday 6 February.

Downhill traffic turning right from Khyber Pass Road onto the on-ramp will now be reduced to a single turning lane.

These changes, which are necessary to allow work on Transit’s Central Motorway Junction project, will remain in effect until later this year.

Transit Regional Manager Wayne McDonald outlines that motorists should expect some delays and therefore suggests using alternative on-ramps such as the St Marks on-ramp where possible.

He emphasises that Transit appreciates the support and co-operation from motorists during this important motorway improvement project. For more information about this project, please phone 0800 TO FREEFLOW (863 733) or visit the project information centre on the corner of Alten Road & Stanley Street, Grafton.
