ChCh City Council holding dog involved in 20 February biting
A dog which bit a Christchurch girl in North Beach on 20 February is being held at the Christchurch City Council pound after its owner voluntarily surrendered it to a council animal control officer.

�gWe want to make sure we�fve got all the facts before deciding the dog�fs fate,�h says Mark Vincent, who heads the Council�fs animal control team.

The dog, a bull mastiff bitch of about 3-4 years old, has not come to the Council�fs attention before.

�œ We are hoping to have more information about the situation later today.
