Works at Stanley St/Beach Rd intersection

Works at Stanley St/Beach Rd intersection

Transit New Zealand advises all road users that from Friday morning (7 March), until Sunday night (9 March), work will be undertaken at the Stanley Street/Beach Road intersection in lower Grafton Gully.

The works, which include some paving and the installation of new traffic signals, will require the existing traffic signals to be turned off intermittently. When this happens, motorists will be directed by Police.

At times, construction activities will also require the left turn from Stanley Street into Beach Road to be closed. These closures will be clearly signposted.

Motorists are requested to use alternative routes and avoid the area as much as possible during this time. Transit also reminds motorists to drive carefully past road works and be mindful of signals.

The work is part of Transit New Zealand’s Grafton Gully Project, which when completed will provide direct access between the motorway, Grafton Gully and the port area.
