“Dublin Street” meets Cathedral Square for St Patrick’s Celebration Concert

FREE Friday lunchtime concert Cathedral Square, 14 March 12.00 pm – 2.00 pm

Cathedral Square will be transformed with the toe-tapping, hand clapping sounds of the Dublin Street Band accompanied by vibrant and talented local gaelic dancers this Friday lunchtime, with a concert set to kick start St. Patrick’s celebrations in the city.

The 5 piece band combine their talents on accordion, whistle, fiddle, guitar, drums and vocals covering music by The Pogues, Levelers, Waterboys and Van Morrison through to traditional Irish jigs and reels that are sure to impress with their lightning speed and breathtaking precision.

“Dublin Street Band” reformed 6 months ago and now features Sophia Bidwell, Jeremy Brownbrooke, Peter Thomson, Luke Braxton and Russell Gillies. Their unique brand of Celtic Rock can be heard regularly at Bailies Bar in the Sqaure.
