Restricted Access to Lower Domain Drive

Restricted Access to Lower Domain Drive

Transit New Zealand advises all road users that from Monday 17 March, access to Lower Domain Drive from Stanley Street will be significantly restricted for one month to allow for upgrading of essential services in the area.

While access from Lower Domain Drive to both sections of Grafton Road remains unaffected, the closure of access into Lower Domain Drive restricts the following movements:

· From University via Grafton Road – no left turn into Stanley Street

· From hospital via Grafton Road – no straight ahead into Stanley Street

· Stanley Street – no right or left turn into Lower Domain Drive
· Lower Domain Drive – no right turn into Stanley Street

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as Parnell Rise and Parnell Road or Grafton Road and Park Road during the closure.

Transit also reminds motorists to drive carefully past road works and be mindful of signals.

The motorway will continue to be accessible from Stanley Street, and it will still be possible to turn left into the ASB Tennis Centre from Stanley Street.
The work is part of Transit New Zealand’s Grafton Gully Project which, when completed, will provide direct access between the motorway, Grafton Gully and the port area.

For more information on the Grafton Gully Project, visit the project information centre at the corner of Stanley Street & Alten Road, phone 0800 To Freeflow (0800 863 733) or visit the Transit website http://www.transit.govt.nz.
