Young musicians celebrate sister city anniversary

The thirtieth anniversary of the Christchurch-Kurashiki sister city relationship will be celebrated next Tuesday 1 April with a combined concert by the Christchurch Youth Orchestra and members of Kurashiki's Junior Philharmonia.

Ninety members of the Philharmonia will be in Christchurch to play at the performance, making it the largest delegation of people from Kurashiki to officially visit Christchurch at one time, Christchurch City Council international relations co-ordinator Barbara August says.

"Sounds of Two Cities" will be performed at the Aurora Centre, Burnside High School at 7.30pm

Admission to the concert will cost $10 for waged and $5 for unwaged.
