Changes To Clevedon Rural Library Services
Consultation On Proposed Changes To Clevedon Rural Library Services
Clevedon residents and other interested people are invited to a public meeting to discuss possible changes to the Clevedon Rural Library Services.
Council has received a proposal from the Clevedon Community Trust to run a toy library and pre-school library from the existing Clevedon Rural Library building.
Associated with this is a proposal that the school age children, teen and adult library service would then be provided by the mobile library.
Dena Gilmore, Planner Libraries and Community Information says, “We would like to hear what the Clevedon community think of the proposed changes to their library service.
“At the moment the mobile library visits Clevedon every Friday afternoon and is well patronised. The mobile library allows access to all the services borrowers receive at our branch libraries, services they cannot access at present from the Rural Library Service.
“While the proposal sounds positive, we need to get feedback from the community before we make any changes to the present service”. says Ms Gilmore.
The meeting will be held on 4 June 2003 at the Clevedon District Centre (on the roundabout, Main Road, Clevedon) at 7.30 pm.
