Painted Apple Moth Operation COMPLETED For Tues
Aerial Operation to Wipe Out Painted Apple Moth COMPLETED on Tuesday 30 September 2003.
The latest aerial operation to wipe out painted apple moth was completed at approximately 9.20 this morning. The operation got underway at around 6.15am with favourable weather conditions allowing the operation to be quickly completed.
“After two weeks of delays we are extremely pleased to have completed the operation” says Robert Isbister, General Manager Painted Apple Moth. “There was a very small window of good weather amidst the persistent rain and wind we have been experiencing, that we were able to take advantage of.”
Today’s operation was across 5 small target areas
covering a total of less than 900 hectares. This is the
last of the planned targeted winter aerial operations. A
decision regarding ongoing operations during spring and
summer will be announced over the next few days. People
