Two Stunning Properties in Unspoilt Wairarapa

The Gladstone district of Wairarapa, known for its wines and popular scarecrow festival, and situated just over an hour north of Wellington, has two stunning properties for sale which are expected to attract international interest.

Both marketed by Tim Falloon of Harcourts Masterton, he described them as exceptional opportunities for buyers looking to enjoy lifestyle moves to an unspoilt environment.

Eight-year-old Willow Farm Vineyard is situated in the Gladstone area, which with its Mediterranean-like climate is rapidly gaining a reputation for world class wines. Mr Falloon said, “the 5.178 hectare property has been meticulously developed and maintained by the vendors and includes huge ex-shearers’ quarters and a cottage as an ideal base for a dream home.”

He added that the grapes from the property were used by the neighbouring Gladstone vineyard to produce award-winning wines. Willow Farm Vineyard is being offered by Tender which closes 4pm, 14 November 2003.

The stunning four hectare renowned garden property, ‘The Sanctuary’ has featured in both NZ House & Garden, and NZ Gardener magazines. The 16-year-old three bedroom home has “commanding views” over the terraced gardens, wildlife pond and Tararua Ranges.

With 5.51 hectares in total, the property is being offered in two titles with one being the house and garden, and the other a 1.49 hectare bare land block with excellent access and building sites. ‘The Sanctuary’ is to be offered by auction 27 November 2003.

“Gladstone is a rural paradise with clean, unspoilt and affordable living within close proximity to Wellington. There is real demand to live in this sort of special environment from throughout the world and we expect a huge amount of interest in these two exceptional properties,” Mr Falloon added.
