Intrepid Teens Wanted for Extreme Adventures
Intrepid Teens Wanted for Extreme Outdoor
Adventures!
Manukau City Council's Manukau On The Move team have the answer for teens who want a fun packed school holiday break, with plenty of outdoor action laced with thrills and spills.
Their one week Teen Extreme programme offers a range of outdoor adventure pursuits for 12 to 16 year olds, running from Monday 19th to Friday 23th April. Participants can select which days they want to attend or, for the really energetic, take part in the whole week!
Programme co-ordinator, Shane McGuire says, "This programme will suit enthusiastic teenagers who are keen to take up the challenge of a range of activities throughout the week. These include mountain biking, rock climbing, abseiling, or flying fox, water confidence course, raft building and kayaking and sailing.
"Monday sees teens testing their skills in off-road mountain biking mayhem. Tuesday participants face their fears with outdoor rock climbing and abseiling followed by the ultimate challenge of a flying fox and a water obstacle course on a kiwi adventure day at the Sonshine Ranch. Thursday has the teens building and racing rafts at the beach challenge day and on Friday, to top the week off, there is kayaking and Optimist sailing off the beautiful Auckland coastline."
All specialist

drop off points are in Howick and Papatoetoe. Cost is $40
