Call for heritage grant applications

If you own a heritage property that needs a bit of work on it but are not quite sure where you are going to find the money, then you might be in luck.

The North Shore Heritage Trust is inviting people who own heritage buildings in the city to apply for some help in the form of a grant.

The Trust, which was set up by the North Shore City Council, provides one-off grants of up to $5000 to help stabilise, repair or restore heritage homes, or prepare conservation plans and protect sites. Its aim is to protect and support North Shore City's heritage while raising awareness and appreciation of it within the community.

Applications for the next funding round close on May 28.

All applications will be considered by the Trust which is chaired by Paddy Stafford-Bush, and includes North Shore City Councillor Tony Holman, as well as other local heritage experts and advocates.
