North Harbour Stadium To Launch Rugby League Tri-Nations

North Harbour Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for New Zealand rugby league in recent years, with national side the Kiwis boasting three wins from the four Tests played against Australia's world champion Kangaroos at the Albany venue since 1998.

NZRL hopes this record will be the ideal springboard for its Tri-Nations campaign as the first match of this tournament will be the trans-Tasman clash at North Harbour on Saturday, October 16.

Kick off time and ticket sale details will be confirmed following further discussions with NZRL's broadcasting and event partners.

The third side in the league Tri-Nations is Britain.

About North Harbour Stadium: The North Harbour Stadium in Albany, North Shore City is one of New Zealand's leading entertainment and sporting venues.

Since it opened in March 1997, the stadium has played host to everything from landscape opera to All Blacks tests, with more than one million people coming through the gates over the past seven years.
