Leisure facility management contracts for tender

Leisure facility management contracts up for tender

Auckland City is inviting management proposals for the operation of the Sir William Jordan Recreation Centre, Onehunga, Lagoon Leisure and Fitness Centre, Panmure or Mt Albert Community and Recreation Centre.

Proposals will be accepted separately for each facility with applications closing at 4pm on Friday 1 April 2005.

The successful contractors will work in partnership with Auckland City and assume responsibility for the financial and operational management of the facility, including staffing, programming, marketing, cleaning, maintenance and health and safety.

Sir William Jordan Recreation Centre (commonly known as Jordan Recreation Centre) is situated at 5 Pearce Street, Onehunga. The facility has a fitness centre, sports hall, aerobics area, meeting room and crèche rooms.

Lagoon Leisure and Fitness Centre is situated at 29 and 36 to 46 Lagoon Drive, Panmure. The centre has conference rooms, an aerobics studio, crèche, fitness centre and sports hall and a swimming complex with a variety of pools, saunas, and a hydroslide.

Mt Albert Community and Recreation Centre is situated in the Mt Albert War Memorial Reserve, 751 to 773 New North Road. The centre has multi-purpose function rooms and a fitness centre, sports hall, aerobics room and crèche.
