Hazmobile rolls into Orakei next Saturday to collect hazardous waste
The free Hazmobile service will be collecting household hazardous waste in Reihana Street’s public car park (near the rugby fields) in Orakei from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 2 April. Auckland City’s resource recovery manager, Warwick Jaine says this is a timely opportunity for people to dispose of hazardous household waste that cannot be put out in the inorganic rubbish collection.
“Next Saturday’s Hazmobile collection gives people a chance to have a really good clear out of unwanted hazardous rubbish,” he says. “With the inorganic rubbish collection currently in progress across the city, people may have material they want to throw out which, although not suitable for inorganic, can be disposed of safely at the Hazmobile collection.”
Up to 20kg or 20L of items per household can be dropped off at no charge.
