Changes To Payment Of Parking Infringements

28 June 2005

Changes To Payment Of Parking Infringements

From Monday 4 July 2005 Hutt City Council will introduce a change to the way that Stationary Vehicle Infringement Offence Notices (Parking Infringements) are issued and processed.

"The changes will affect the methods of payments for these infringement notices, and where people pay parking infringements will depend on whether the infringement notice, reminder notice or letter includes a bar code or not," said Bryan Crewe, Manager Parking Services, Hutt City Council.

If the Parking Infringement, Reminder Notice or Courtesy Letter does not contain a Bar Code, then payments can only be made at Hutt City Council, Administration Building, 30 Laings Road, Lower Hutt or by posting the payment to The Hutt City Council, Private Bag 31912, Lower Hutt.

>From Monday 4 July 2005, any Parking Infringement, Reminder Notice or Courtesy Letter that contains a Bar Code should be paid at
NZ Post Shops, Books and More outlets, Hutt City Council, Administration Building, 30 Laings Road, Lower Hutt or by posting the payment to Hutt City Council, Private Bag 31912, Lower Hutt.

Council asks that cash payments are not sent via post.

To find out more about other payment options, please phone the Parking Services Section, during normal office hours, by telephoning (04) 5706783.
