Dale Lott appointed council's finance chief

North Shore City Council has appointed Dale Lott to the key role of chief financial officer, replacing Roger Duncan who retires at Christmas.

Chief executive John Brockies says Mr Lott was selected following an intensive recruitment process which attracted strong candidates from throughout New Zealand.

Currently the council's group manager finance, this is Mr Lott's second promotion within two years.

A member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, he joined North Shore City as finance manager in 1998.

He takes up his new role next January when he will lead the 78-member finance and corporate services division. This includes human resources, revenue, finance, risk management, property management and procurement.

Dale Lott will report to John Brockies and join the council's leadership team of senior executives.
