Results on track for second night of speedway

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL MEDIA RELEASE

5 December 2005

Results on track for second night of speedway racing

Noise levels for the second night of speedway racing this season have all complied with the mediated agreement reached between local residents, council and speedway promoters in October this year.

"All races were under 90dBA, and we are pleased that all races have met with the agreed noise levels," says Auckland City's manager of environmental health and licensing, Chris Dee. "This is a good start to the season, and Auckland City will continue to monitor throughout the season."

Racing until the end of the year will be on Saturday 10 December and Monday 26 December.

Data from the weekend's racing will be available to the public later today. For further information on noise control and the results of the monitoring please go to
