Fingers Crossed For A Long Hot Summer!

The 2005/06 Summer Scene events booklet is about to come to a letterbox near you and residents are advised to grab a copy for themselves and send another to a friend.

50,000 copies of the booklet have been printed and are about to be distributed around Hutt City and throughout the greater Wellington region.

The free, bright-green 28-page booklet is bursting with over 75 events, exhibitions and activities set to take place in the City from mid December 2005 until early April 2006.

Included in the brochure are details on the city’s major events including the Jackson Street Fiesta of the Arts, Te Re O Te Raukura, and the Trust House Women’s Tour of New Zealand.

The brochure also contains a host of events being run by Hutt City Council including Twilight Movies in Riddiford Gardens, Push Play in the Park activities for children, the Twist’n by the Pool concert series at summer pools and Fusion 06 - a month long series of events, demonstrations and talks focusing on food at the Petone Settlers Museum.

The free brochures are being delivered to all Hutt City households in mid December, but can also be found at Council facilities, selected café’s and information centres throughout Wellington or can be downloaded at www.huttcity.info
